Fungicidal activities of dihydroferulic acid alkyl ester analogues.
The natural product dihydroferulic acid (DFA, 1) and the synthesized DFA methyl (4a), ethyl (4b), propyl (4c), hexyl (4d), octyl (4e), and decyl (4f) esters were examined for antifungal activity. Test fungi included Saccharomyces cerevisiae (wild type, and deletion mutants slt2 Delta and bck1 Delta), Aspergillus fumigatus, and A. flavus. Growth inhibition of S. cerevisiae treated with 5 mM DFA ...

Derivatives of thiazolidinone ring systems are known to act as anti-HIV infections , analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-convulsant, anti parasitic, potential anti-inflammatory and herbicidal agents. Due biological activities of thiazolidinones ring, several methods for their synthesis have been illustrated in literature. Imidazolidine-2-thiones were synthesized by the oxidative cyclization of 1-be...
متن کاملPyridine-4-carbaldehyde–fumaric acid (2/1)
In the title co-crystal, 2C6H5NO·C4H4O4, two crystallographically different hydrogen-bonded trimers are formed, one in which the components occupy general positions, and one generated by an inversion centre. This results in the uncommon situation of Z = 3 for a triclinic crystal. In the formula units, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
متن کاملQuinoline-2-carbonitrile–fumaric acid (1/0.5)
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(10)H(6)N(2)·0.5C(4)H(4)O(4), consists of one quinoline-2-carbonitrile mol-ecule and a half-mol-ecule of fumaric acid, which lies on an inversion center. The quinoline-2-carbonitrile mol-ecule is almost planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.008 (1) Å. The acid and base are linked together via pairs of inter-molecular C-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, fo...
متن کامل4-Acetylpyridine–fumaric acid (2/1)
In the crystal structure of the title cocrystal, 2C(7)H(7)NO·C(4)H(4)O(4), the complete fumaric acid mol-ecule is generated by a crystallographic inversion centre. The two components of the cocrystal are linked by an O-H⋯N hydrogen bond.
